David Hogg, Parkland shooting activist, elected as DNC vice chair

They’ve gone Hogg wild.

The newly elected vice chair of the Democratic National Committee once labeled himself “one of the most politically toxic people in the country” and “too radical” for politics.

Hogg was named to the plum post in party elections held on Feb. 1.

Only 24 years old, Parkland shooting survivor David Hogg is arguably America’s most powerful Zoomer, and he’s left a trail of revealing social-media posts since coming to national prominence following the February 2018 mass shooting in Florida, which left 17 people dead.

“I’m one of the most politically toxic people in the country and I’m too radical for American politics. No, I’m not running for office,” Hogg declared in April 2022. “We have enough straight white men in power. It’d be nice to see some people who actually look like our country and not privilege.”

In September 2022, he posted: “I’m never planning on having kids. I would much rather own a Porsche and have a Portuguese water dog and golden doodle,” explaining that he came to his decision because it would be better “for the environment.”

In 2021, Hogg briefly explored a career as a pillow entrepreneur following a public spat with My Pillow owner Mike Lindell.

He’s also loudly supported some hot-button social causes Democrats might want to forget after their devastating losses in the November elections.

In February 2019 he came out in support of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s Green New Deal — lauding it for promoting “equity and justice,” while about a year later in July 2020, he called for abolishing U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Hogg supported the “defund the police” movement in August 2020 as violent Black Lives Matter mobs rampaged across the country and has called for the National Rifle Association to be designated as a terrorist organization.

“If you need a license to kill deer why don’t you need one to kill humans?” Hogg asked in February 2023,declaring in a different post the same month that Americans have “no right to a gun.”

Even fellow progressives said they were wary of Hogg.

On the day of of his DNC election last week, fellow Parkland school shooting survivor and activist Cameron Kasky mocked his former classmate in an Instagram story post.

“I gotta hand it to the Democratic Party – I made the terrible mistake of thinking they couldn’t pick opportunists more craven to reward for their unrelatability, but once again they have changed the game,” Kasky wrote.

“When you hold a position in which your actions bear serious consequences, you must be held accountable, no matter how riveting your origin story may be,” Kasky later told The Post.

Hogg did not respond to request for comment from The Post.
