Dave Portnoy has entered the chat.

The Barstool Sports creator issued a shady statement via Instagram after news broke that Alex Cooper’s media company had dropped Alix Earle’s “Hot Mess” podcast.

Portnoy, 47, trolled his followers on Tuesday with a screenshot of a 22-minute phone call between himself and a contact in his phone listed as “Alixearlenew.”

He set the upload to “Circle of Life.”

In his caption, Portnoy wrote, “You can stop tagging me. I know what needs to be done 😘.”

The statement, notably, is exactly what Cooper posted to TikTok after Grace O’Malley left Barstool Sports last year.

Portnoy, however, shared an update hours later, clarifying that he “didn’t call” Earle, 24, amid her and Cooper’s escalating feud rumors.

“I just thought it was funny,” he explained.

Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia called Portnoy “iconic” for the diss, with many social media users predicting he was “about to get revenge for losing Grace.”

Notably, O’Malley, 26, exited Barstool Sports in December 2024 and joined Cooper’s podcast network.

Cooper, for her part, left Portnoy’s media company three years prior to signing with Spotify — and recently moved to SiriusXM in a $125 million deal.

The “Call Her Daddy” host launched her Unwell podcast network in 2023 as part of her media company, Trending, and signed Earle.

The TikTok star’s podcast debuted in September 2023, with its most recent episode airing Feb. 20.

Variety reported Tuesday that Cooper’s company gave up the right to “Hot Mess,” leaving Earle to explore other opportunities.

Reps for Cooper and Earle have yet to respond to Page Six’s request for comment.

The duo sparked feud speculation earlier this month when Earle reportedly skipped out on Cooper’s Super Bowl 2025 party.

Reddit users subsequently noticed that Cooper’s company was not promoting Earle’s episodes on social media.

Alix’s dad, TJ Earle, hinted in a December 2024 episode that his daughter had experienced a disagreement with a business partner.

He noted that it was his responsibility to have “hard conversations with people” about Alix’s potential — and had just confronted someone about a “business situation.”
