Controversial Paris Olympics breakdancer Raygun falls on face at nightclub

The Australian breakdancer whose moves at the Paris Olympics mimicked a kangaroo, found herself in another embarrassing snafu at a Sydney nightclub.

Raygun, the divisive breakdancing sensation, tried to grab a microphone out of the hands of a drag queen Thursday, but not before she fell on the stage in an apparent attempt to recreate her viral performance from the Summer Games.

In a video shared on Instagram, the crowd at long-running gay bar Universal can be heard chanting Raygun’s name before she loses balance busting out one of her breakdancing moves.

The 37-year-old dancer, whose real name is Rachael Gunn, then gets back up, and tries to grab the mic out of Sydney drag queen Champagne’s hands.

The breakdancer blamed being tipsy for her topsy-turvy act.

“Hahaha, defs had a bit too much! Imagine my hangxiety today!” she commented on an Instagram post by Gay Sydney News.

Some social media users had tongue and cheek reactions to the infamous dancer.

“It’s like seeing Jesus walk on water,” wrote Instagram user London Briidge.

Others were more supportive.

“She was a great sport! I’d have given her gold last night!,” wrote Instagram user Keira Billie, in reference to her dismal Olympics routine in which she failed to score a single point.

Raygun announced she was retiring after the “really upsetting” backlash she faced following her Paris performance, only to turn back around and say she is “never going to stop.”

“I’m still going to be part of community jams, or I’d like to go to community jams and still and still dance and still break,” she said back in November.

It appears that’s what she did, or at least attempted to, this week.
