We have company visiting so we had to prepare for her visit which is why I haven’t given any updates on me. Now regarding my shoulder, I have a torn rotator cuff so I’m going to be doing six weeks of physical therapy to try and improve my range of motion. If that doesn’t work the next step will be surgery. The problem with that is the recovery is about six weeks or more and I would have to keep in in a sling the whole time. That means no crocheting. Mama “ain’t” liking that. I’m praying the physical therapy works. Speaking of crochet, I’m almost done with the hat I mentioned in my last post. I’m going to try and finish it today or tomorrow when our visitor leaves.
My neurology appt went well. We discussed the increase in my tremors was possibly due to a change in my medications, missed doses, and stress. He also determined that I have essential tremor and I have no signs of Parkinsons. I admit I’ve been a bit stressed out lately because I was worried I had Parkinsons. My friend from Bible study passed from Parkinson’s so I’m praising God I don’t have it. It’s a horrible disease.
I’ve been attempting on and off a new hobby of painting. I went to a class a couple of weeks ago where we painted old record LPs. To you younger people back before you were born and before Spotify and iTunes,music came on round mostly black disks with a hole we played on a record player. Getting back to the subject of painting I painted a watermelon slice. It came out pretty nice. Several months ago I did a one day painting class at church where I painted mountains and clouds. It was fun letting my inner Bob Ross come out. 😃 If I have a free moment today, I will post pictures of my paintings and hopefully the finished hat. I’m still having pain in my hands which slows me down unfortunately.
One more problem I need to address is some of you aren’t getting emails that I’ve posted new blog posts. I’m also having problems, especially those of you who use Google Blogger for your blogs. I’m not getting emails that you who have blogs have posted. I’m not sure Blogger and WordPress like each other. WordPress has made so many changes lately and I’m wondering if they unsubscribed some of us because I’ve been getting emails from WordPress letting me know I have I have new subscribers. The thing is, I recognized the names and I’m like they are already subscribed so I’m not sure what’s going on. Bottom line is, I don’t have a solution to our blog problems. I’m going to go through my blog list and make sure I’m still subscribed.
