Comedian Louis C.K. sells downtown NYC home for $2.36M

Comedian Louis C.K. — aka, Louis Alfred Székely — has sold his Greenwich Village home inside a landmarked, red-brick townhouse for $2.36 million, Gimme Shelter can reveal.

The boho-chic residence first hit the market last May asking $2.45 million, according to StreetEasy.

The three-bedroom, three-bathroom, three-level apartment is inside a four-story, 10-unit walk-up at 345 W. Fourth St., between Horatio and Gansevoort streets. C.K. bought the co-op with his then-wife, Alix Bailey, for $250,000 in 2006, according to property records. It’s in a building that dates to 1926.

Design details include three fireplaces with marble mantelpieces.

The home opens to a large living room on the parlor floor that leads to a small L-shaped kitchen with a vintage island that can be used for prep and storage, as well as a breakfast bar.

Another large room with three windows and a fireplace can serve as a dining room or an additional bedroom. Stairs rise to a second-floor bedroom with another fireplace and views of historic Jackson Square Park.

A third bedroom is located at street level, accessed by a spiral staircase from the parlor floor — and it has its own private entrance, so it could also be used as a home office.

Building amenities include a common rooftop with city views. It’s also near the Jane Street Garden and Abingdon Square.

In December of 2022, C.K. also sold a 1,450-square-foot co-op at 101 W. 12th St. for $1.8 million — after buying it for $2.45 million in 2016. He also sold his five-bedroom home at 35 Charlton St. for $5.8 million, as Gimme reported.

That’s less than the $6.5 million he paid for that Soho townhouse between Sixth Avenue and Varick Street in 2012. The 4,822-square-foot residence dates to 1829.

In addition, the comedian paid $3.85 million for a co-op at the celeb-filled, Art Deco landmarked trophy building One Fifth Ave., Gimme revealed at the time.

C.K. admitted to sexual misconduct in 2017, for which he apologized. He later downplayed the incidents and has since won a Grammy for Best Comedy Album.

The listing brokers were Carl Gambino and Justin Montero of Compass.
