There’s love in the dojo!
“Cobra Kai” stars Tanner Buchanan, 26, and Mary Mouser, 28, revealed their engagement Thursday after seemingly keeping their romance under wraps.
“We’re so happy to finally share that we’re engaged,” Buchanan said in a joint Instagram post. “This is such a special moment in our lives, the closing of one chapter and celebrating the continuation of another.”
The duo sparked speculation about their relationship Wednesday after flaunting diamond engagement rings during the hit show’s finale premiere in Los Angeles.
For the outing, Mouser rocked a dark shimmery dress while her beau kept it simple with a dark suit paired with a tie and a pair of tinted glasses.
“We’re so grateful for the love and support, and though we’re partial to having our private moments, we’re excited to share this check-in to our world,” their post concluded, alongside a heart emoji.
The relationship reveal appeared to come as a surprise to many who weren’t aware that the duo were even an item.

“They are together!?!?” one fan commented under the Netflix post, while another wrote, “Am I the only one who didn’t know they were together.”
Buchanan played Mouser’s love interest in the show’s second and third seasons
During the finale party on Wednesday, Buchanan told People that his now-fiancée was “a hundred percent” a ride-or-die confidant for him among the “Cobra Kai” cast.

The couple met while filming the nine-time Emmy Award-nominated show, which is a continuation of the “Karate Kid” movie series.
The hit show debuted on YouTube in 2018 before being picked up by Netflix in 2020.
Mouser portrayed Sam LaRusso, the daughter of karate champion Daniel LaRusso, while Buchanan played the son of Daniel’s longtime rival, Johnny Lawrence.
The show’s co-creator Jon Hurwitz joked on X that their love connection was the main goal of the Netflix series.

“We’re matchmakers first, showrunners second,” Hurwitz quipped. “Our primary goal with Cobra Kai was for Daniel LaRusso’s daughter and Johnny Lawrence’s son to fall in love in real life. Mission accomplished. So happy for them! A perfect couple!”
Mouser was previously in a long-term relationship with actor Brett Pierce. Buchanan, for his part, dated actress Lizze Broadway.
