Chiefs’ offense goes silent in meek Super Bowl 2025 first half

So much for the Chiefs high-powered offense leading them to a Super Bowl three-peat.

Kansas City got off to a very slow start Sunday against the Eagles — especially the duo of Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce.

The pair misfired on their first two pass attempts, including on a third-and-3 in the second quarter that led to a punt.

Midway through the second quarter, Kansas City had just one first down and 26 yards — and no points — in three possessions, as Philadelphia opened a 10-0 lead.

Things got worse later in the second quarter, as Mahomes tossed a pick-6 to Cooper DeJean, which helped the Eagles open a 17-0 advantage.
