The first 4 Nations Face-Off did not disappoint.
And the Team USA-Canada sequel lived up to all the hype.
It was the Canadians who came out on top and won in an overtime thriller in the championship game at TD Garden in Boston on Connor McDavid’s goal in overtime.

Nathan MacKinnon got things started for Canada at the 4:48 mark of the first period before the U.S. answered with two after Brady Tkachuk knotted things up in the opening frame and Jake Sanderson — in for the injured Charlie McAvoy — scored in the second.
But Sam Bennett evened things up shortly after, and a scoreless third sent things to an overtime before McDavid further etched his name into hockey lore.
