A California healthcare company appeared to admit that it employs illegal aliens in a document obtained by The Daily Wire, in which the company reprimanded one former employee who accurately described illegal aliens as “criminals.”
WellSpace Health, a Sacramento-based non-profit community health system, appeared to make the admission in a document that reprimanded the former employee and threatened him with termination unless he underwent bias training.
“Referring to individuals being deported by ICE is inappropriate,” the company wrote in the document obtained by The Daily Wire. “At WellSpace Health, we serve and employ this population as we aim to avoid offending our patients and staff,” it went on to say, seemingly confirming that the company knowingly employs illegal aliens.

The company went on to tell the former employee that he would be required to complete a “bias in healthcare” training course, undergo a performance evaluation, and help craft a “personal improvement plan.”
WellSpace Health went on to threaten the employee with termination if he did not take the bias training. “Failure to comply with the above-mentioned expectations may warrant further disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment,” the document read.
WellSpace did not respond to several inquiries about the company’s statement that illegal aliens are members of its staff.
The Department of Homeland Security has recently conducted enforcement actions against businesses it believes have knowingly employed illegal aliens, enforcing laws barring the harboring or employing of illegal aliens. Two bakery owners in southern Texas were arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Homeland Security Investigations after they allegedly admitted to hiring and harboring illegal aliens despite knowing that they were not legally present in the United States.
The former WellSpace Health employee eventually resigned, citing the company’s response to his comment about illegal immigration in his resignation letter, reviewed by The Daily Wire. “My main reason for leaving is the accusation that I am being biased or racist towards a certain group,” he wrote.
“My comment was ‘I feel that ICE is only deporting criminals and not regular people. People shouldn’t be afraid,’” the employee added before citing the law against crossing into the United States without authorization. He then went on to argue that the requirement that he undergo bias training was “offensive and unprofessional” since “there was no official investigation on this matter.”
