It’s the blush of love!
Billionaire cosmetics heir William Lauder is dating branding guru Lara Shriftman, Page Six has learned.
The new couple were recently spotted in Palm Beach on a date at the Norton Museum of Art’s annual benefit.
Shriftman is well known on the social circuit, first making her name in PR with her company Harrison & Shriftman. She appeared on New York Mag’s iconic 1998 “Power Girls” cover along with Lizzie Grubman and Ally Bernstein.
The article described the group of young career women, saying: “A clique of young publicists, only a few years out of college, now control much of Manhattan’s trendiest nightlife.”
A source tells us that the Estee Lauder heir, 64, and Shriftman have “known each other and been friends for a really long time.”
“They are very happy and having a lot of fun,” says a source.
Spies have seen them out and about in in New York City, where he lives, and Miami, which is Shriftman’s home base.
She now works as a brand consultant and strategist for several high-profile brands and has written several books on the art of entertaining. She is also an advisor to the Well, a wellness center and brand, and an investor in several start-ups.
She has one son with Juan Bacardi, heir of the Puerto Rican rum dynasty.
Lauder, who is worth an estimated $1.3 billion, is the son of Leonard and Evelyn Lauder, and the grandson of Estée and Joseph Lauder, who founded the beauty company.
He recently stepped down as executive chairman of Estee Lauder but remains in his role as chair of the board of directors.
He also serves as co-chair of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation and is on the board of directors of The Fresh Air Fund.
He made headlines earlier this month after reportedly selling two oceanfront lots in Palm Beach for a record $170 million-plus. In March 2023, he plunked down a whopping $155 million on Rush Limbaugh’s former Palm Beach estate.
Lauder has three daughters with his former wife Karen Jacobs.
