Like the work on the Severed Floor of Lumon Industries, every episode of Apple TV+‘s hit series Severance is mysterious and important. As the suspenseful Season 1 finale reminded us, however, certain installments of Dan Erickson’s hit workplace thriller are undeniable, next-level standouts.
As noted in Decider’s Season 2 review, in honor of Ms. Casey (Dichen Lachman), I tried my best to enjoy each of the sophomore season’s 10 episodes equally and not show preference for any over the others. But with three especially ambitious installments that shatter the show’s traditional format, that proved an impossible feat.
Story-wise, my lips are sealed, but for anyone who longs to watch especially major television episodes ASAP and desperately wants to avoid spoilers, consider this a friendly PSA that Season 2, Episode 4, “Woe’s Hollow,” is a night of, sprint to the couch, prepare to be amazed type of deal.
On top of the fact that woe is one of Kier Eagan’s four tempers, here’s what else we know about “Woe’s Hollow,” courtesy of Apple TV+’s episode synopsis: “The team traverses unfamiliar terrain. Mark and Helly explore their feelings. Irving harbors a growing distrust of a friend.”
Apple TV+ also announced a new corporate acronym tied to episode: ORTBO. And another major sign that 204 slaps is that the usual batch of episodic stills ahead of the premiere hasn’t been released — presumably to keep the mystery alive.
To anyone debating whether they should watch Episode 204 when it drops or wait until the weekend, our advice is the sooner the better. The episode is best enjoyed completely spoiler-free, so you’ll want to plan accordingly.
