Somehow I forgot that April is Poetry Month. Actually I had remembered in the middle of last March but it totally slipped my mind this month. I can’t say I enjoy all poetry. I do enjoy the poems I get that are in the back of my Beside the Still Waters devotion. I also get a email newsletter from The Curator www.thecurator.org that has beautiful poems by Anabaptist authors. I might note that the Beside the Still Waters devotion booklet I get is also an Anabaptist publication. They didn’t always have poems in the back. It used to be just blank pages but a few years ago the publishers decided to add poetry because they felt it was a waste of paper to leave those pages blank. I think because I love reading Psalms, I’m enjoying poetry more BUT ,the poetry at the end of Beside the Still Waters and The Curator I prefer because they have spiritual lessons that point to Christ.
Does anyone here like poetry?
