The sudden crash of a medical transport flight into a northeastern Philadelphia neighborhood left a swath of charred cars, wrecked buildings and crumpled sidewalks in its fiery wake.
Drone footage posted online Saturday morning gave a birds-eye view of the devastating scene, which had left seven people dead and at least 19 hurt, officials said.
Video showed police vehicles blocking off multiple blocks to traffic and pedestrians, firehoses strewn about on streets left charred by the resulting flames after the Learjet 55 plummeted onto a major street near the Roosevelt Mall, killing all six aboard, including pilot Alan Montoya and co-pilot Jesús Juárez.
One image showed an area of crumpled sidewalk, with the pavement pushed up into the air, while another showed damaged buildings and debris littering the ground in every direction.
The incident was the second deadly plane crash in the United States in a week.
The small jet was operated by Mexico-based Jet Rescue Air Ambulance.
It crashed less than a minute after taking off at 6:06 p.m. from Northeast Philadelphia Airport for a stop at Springfield-Branson National Airport in Missouri, according to data on FlightRadar24.

A young girl who had received “life-saving” treatment from Shriners Children’s Hospital in Philadelphia, and her mother, along with a paramedic, Dr. Raul Meza and the crew, were aboard, according to spokespeople for Jet Rescue and Shriners.
The aftermath resembled “a horror movie,” shocked locals told The Post.
On Saturday afternoon, FBI Emergency Response Team members, ATF Police and the NTSB were combing the street for evidence on Calvert Street, which is currently a crime scene.
Authorities also were scouring for debris on other blocks between Cottman Avenue and St. Vincent, which were taped off.
