Al Roker’s ex-wife, Alice Bell, has died at the age of 77.
Bell and the “Today” show weathercaster’s daughter, Courtney Roker, announced the matriarch’s death with a heartfelt tribute via Instagram Monday.
“She was my mother, my heart, and the most loving grandmother to Sky,” the 38-year-old wrote. “I was with her for her last breath, and I will carry her love with me always.”
Courtney shared several photos with Bell throughout the years, including throwback snaps of them from when she was a baby.
Recent photos showed Bell playing with Courtney’s 1-year-old, Sky Clara Laga, while hooked up to a portable oxygen tank.
Bell’s cause of death hasn’t been revealed.
Al, meanwhile, hasn’t spoken out about his ex’s death, but he was notably absent from Tuesday’s broadcast of the “Today” show.
Reps for the TV personality weren’t immediately available to Page Six for comment.
Al, 70, and Bell were wed from 1984 to 1994 and adopted Courtney in 1987.
The journalist is also the father to Leila Roker, 26, and Nicholas Roker, 22, whom he welcomed after tying the knot to his current wife, Deborah Roberts, in 1995.
Al, for his part, experienced a health scare in 2022 and was hospitalized for weeks with blood clots in his lungs and legs.
The following year, the news anchor shared that he was “glad to be alive” after the rocky experience.
Reflecting on his hospitalization, Al told Page Six in September that it was a “little shaky” for a while.
Al explained that he was able to push through his illness by focusing on being a grandfather to Courntey’s daughter, Sky, and working on his 2024 cookbook, “Al Roker’s Recipes to Live By.”
By staying active and practicing moderation in his diet, Al shared he was “doing great.”
