‘Home Improvement’ Star Zachery Ty Bryan Arrested Again For Alleged Domestic Violence

Just months after he was arrested for his second DUI of the year in October 2024, former child actor and Home Improvement star Zachery Ty Bryan has been arrested once again.

According to online records, Bryan was arrested for second degree domestic violence in South Carolina on Jan. 1, per TMZ.

Police determined that the former actor had gotten into a physical altercation, though it was not revealed who else was involved. A mugshot obtained by the outlet shows scratches on Bryan’s face.

Bryan is currently being held at Horry County Jail with a bond set to $10,000.

This is just the latest arrest in a string of legal troubles Bryan has been facing. He was last arrested in October 2024 for driving under the influence and driving without a valid license in California, marking his second DUI arrest of the year.

Prior to that, he pled guilty to felony assault after a domestic dispute with an individual believed to be his longtime partner, Johnnie Faye Cartwright. The couple share three children.

He was sentenced to seven days in jail and 36 months of supervised probation in October 2023, and was ordered to undergo substance abuse treatment. He was also ordered to not have contact with the victim without approval from a probation officer.

Bryan and Cartwright also had a domestic dispute in October 2020, after which he pled guilty to misdemeanor menacing and assault.

The former Home Improvement star continued acting after the show ended in 1999 with appearances in The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, Veronica Mars, Smallville and more. His last credited acting role is in the 2022 series The Guardians of Justice (Will Save You!)

In addition to facing domestic violence allegations, Bryan has also been accused of stealing almost $50,000 from multiple sources, according to a bombshell 2023 report from The Hollywood Reporter.
