Secret to successful Keith Urban marriage is 2 bathroom appliances

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have been married for 18 years — and they have their toilets to thank for it.

The actress cheekily revealed the secret to the couple’s long-standing romance in her W magazine cover story, published Friday.

“We have a double shower,” the Oscar winner, 57, said. “The double-headed shower: key to a successful marriage.”

Kidman noted that having “separate commodes” in their bathroom also helped.

The “Babygirl” star made the reveal while sharing that she sings in the shower, as does her country singer husband.

“I’ll hear his new songs forming,” she said.

The Emmy winner and Urban, also 57, tied the knot in June 2006, and the couple have since gone on to welcome daughters Sunday, 16, and Faith, 13.

Kidman was previously married to Tom Cruise, with whom she adopted daughter Isabella, 32, and son Connor, 29.

The duo divorced in 2001.

When she and Urban celebrated 13 years of marriage in 2019, Urban posted an Instagram tribute to their relationship’s “magic, music, romance, wild adventures, and the ongoing discovery of pure love.”

The songwriter and Kidman aren’t the only pair to credit their romance’s longevity with separate spaces.

In April 2024, Carson Daly told People that he and wife Siri Pinter are “sleep divorced” and only sleep in the same bed a couple days a week.

“It’s been good for us,” the “Today” show co-host, 51, explained at the time. “I highly recommend it.”

Barbara Corcoran, for her part, gushed to “Today” in March 2024 about the practice, which she has sworn by for 40 years.

“I have to invite him in — he invites me in occasionally,” the “Shark Tank” alum, 75, said.

Nine months later, she doubled down on this in a “Jamie Kern Lima Show” episode, telling listeners it “makes things fun” and adds “sexiness” to their time together.
