This post I meant to write and post yesterday but I’ve been struggling with my thoughts. I’m fighting a cold and I can’t think straight.
I was a preschool teacher for many years and have volunteered in the church nursery at every church we have been to since I got saved. In all those preschools and church nurseries none of those children died.
A family whose youngest daughter attended the preschool where my daughter works were on their way home from visiting family in Mexico December 28th when they were in a horrific car accident. The mom and her little toddler daughter were killed on impact. The little girl was my daughter’s student who had just been moved up to the two year old class. The dad is in a medically induced coma in Mexico.The preschool director sent word on Tuesday evening letting the staff know what happened. My daughter is pretty upset especially since the preschool is still trying to overcome the loss of two parents where the dad killed the mom who was then killed in a shootout with a deputy which happened two months before this latest tragedy.
So I’m asking God to make this make sense. I know that children die. I know that intellectually I know that but my heart says that should never happen. The teachers at the preschool met today and were able to talk about what happened. They are on Christmas break until Monday.
Please keep the Contreras family in prayer and pray for Tomàs Contreras to recover from his injuries. Hold your family members especially your little people really tight my friends.
