Let’s Check on How Many Network Evening Newscasts Mentioned the Fraud Arrests in California – Twitchy

Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and California Gov. Gavin Newsom keep screeching about Trump, and those always seem to be attempts to distract from what’s been happening in their own states.

In Newsom’s California, arrests have been made related to a health care fraud scheme that the DOJ says has ripped off taxpayers to the tune of about $50 million:

From KTLA:

These arrests include the owners of hospices, who Essayli alleges billed taxpayers millions of dollars to serve the terminally ill who reportedly weren’t sick at all.

Those defendants include three nurses, a chiropractor, and a psychologist. Officials claim they ran fraudulent hospice care facilities that drained Medicare by using individuals who did not have terminal illnesses as beneficiaries.

All are facing years in federal prison.

Big story, right?

Well, maybe if that happened in Florida it would have been the lead story on all three network nightly newscasts, but that wasn’t the case. At least one network covered it, according to Newsbusters’ @BonillaJL:

As we frequently say, evidence of media bias is often seen not in what they do report, but in what they choose to ignore.

This is part of the Trump administration’s anti-fraud efforts. Apparently Democrats like Newsom don’t take this seriously and are fine with taxpayer dollars being ripped off in massive amounts.

You might recall that after Nick Shirley started exposing massive fraud in Newsom’s California, the governor’s press thought it was best to mock Shirley instead.
