So heartless.
Kanye West has sparked fury once again, this time over a casting call he released featuring disturbing requirements that echo his recent antisemitic behavior.
The “Gold Digger” rapper, 47, shared the casting call on Saturday in a post on X. Hinting that the job is unpaid, the notice was described as an “open casting call for volunteers.”
“Ye is putting together a hooligan choir” intended “to give the sound of” (aka cover) the song “Carnival” off his recent album, “Vultures,” according to the post.
The Yeezy founder added that the choir would be “all males” and that “NO FAT PEOPLE” should apply.
Among the other parameters, “volunteers” must have the “skin complexion of Sean Combs and darker” and “shaved heads OR must be willing to shave head if approved.”
Perhaps even more ominously, the casting call emphasized that all prospective choir members “MUST BE COMFORTABLE WEARING SWASTIKAS.”
The rapper recently began selling swastika T-shirts on his website until Shopify shut it down. The swastika merch also led his talent agent to drop him.
“We are accepting members from all over the globe but the base will be in Los Angeles,” the notice continued.
Kanye’s post on X also included an LA address for the casting, which began on Saturday and concludes Tuesday.
The notice concluded, “F—K AN EMAIL ADDRESS.”
A representative for Ye did not immediately respond to The Post’s request for comment.
Backlash to the casting call rose fast and furious.
“This is straight-up clown behavior. If you’re begging for attention this hard, you’ve already lost. Swastikas? Fat-shaming? Obsessing over skin color? You sound like a joke trying way too hard to be edgy. Nobody with self-respect would waste their time on this garbage,” one person replied to West’s post on X. contended one commenter.
Another user wrote, “You’re really digging deep into the depths of societal toxicity aren’t you? I mean, excluding fat people and demanding specific skin complexion is quite something.”
Some turned their attention to X owner Elon Musk, expressing outrage that Ye has not been banned from the platform. One commenter tagged the Tesla co-founder, writing, “@elonmusk, you’re allowing this? This is going too far.”
West was suspended from X (formerly known as Twitter) in October 2022 after he spewed antisemitic rhetoric. However, his account was reinstated after Musk billion bought the social media network that same month.
Though the rapper apologized to the Jewish community for his “unintended outburst” in December 2023, last month he went on antisemitic tirade in which he declared, “I love Hitler,” and “I’m a Nazi.”
“Im never apologizing for my Jewish comments,” he wrote in since-deleted tirade on X. “I can say whatever the f—k I wanna say forever.”
He continued, “Suck my d—k how’s that for an apology.”
