De’Aaron Fox’s wife has heated moment with Kings’ Malik Monk

A tense war of words between Recee Fox – the wife of De’Aaron Fox – and Malik Monk was all caught on video following Friday’s Kings-Spurs game.

De’Aaron made his return to Sacramento for the first time since he was traded to the Spurs in February, and his wife and ex-teammate were spotted aggressively talking to one another after the Kings defeated the Spurs, 127-109.

Monk and Recee seemed to be yelling at each other and the NBA player’s wife could be seen pounding her fist into her hand.

At one point, another man tried to step in between the two and eventually Monk walked away.

Monk and Fox played together in Sacramento for parts of three seasons, and the two had played together in college at the University of Kentucky.

However, Fox’s departure appeared to stir up some ill will after he mentioned how his new team had felt more like a family.

“It was crazy, ’cause he was one of the reasons I came here,” Monk told reporters after Fox got traded. “But we got to move on. I know it’s a business. By the looks of it, they said he wanted to be out of here, so he got what he wanted.”

Fox fired back on social media before eventually deleting the post.

“Everybody has the same story about the dysfunction but yeah it’s my fault,” the post read.

In his first game back in Sacramento, Fox put up 16 points and he shot 6-of-17 from the field.

“I haven’t made a shot in two weeks, man,” Fox said about his return performance, per ESPN. “When you change teams, at some point you’re going to play the [former] team. I think it was good. I wouldn’t really say I got emotional. But [the tribute] was great. I was here for so long, almost a decade. So, I really do appreciate it.”
