It was a 9021OMG moment.
Jennie Garth shared her thoughts after the 2025 Oscars left out her “Beverly Hills, 90210” co-star Shannen Doherty during the In Memoriam segment, which honors those in the industry who have passed away over the last year.
In a clip posted to X by TMZ on Wednesday, the “What I Like About You” alum, 52, was asked about the snub while heading out of a building and into a car.
“Ya, that’s messed up,” Garth replied.
When asked if she thinks the Oscars should apologize, the podcast host answered, “Maybe.”
After the segment aired, Doherty’s longtime rep told TMZ that it was disappointing his client wasn’t included — especially because the “Heathers” actress has been in the industry for over 45 years.
Many fans were shocked by the Academy, taking to social media to share their outrage.
“No Shannen Doherty—star of one of the great films HEATHERS—in the In Memoriam is an outrageous slap in the face,” one user wrote on X. “She was a groundbreaker in the way she stood up for herself and voiced her own opinions during a time when women in the industry were supposed to keep quiet.”
Another fan quipped, “The #Oscar not showing Shannen Doherty hit me like a brick. They missed so many people. But she’s forever a winner in my eyes & heart.”
Along with starring as Brenda Walsh on the beloved ’90s drama, “Beverly Hills, 90210,” Doherty portrayed Prue Halliwell on “Charmed,” another Aaron Spelling-produced show in the late ’90s.
Doherty died in July at age 53 after a years-long battle with breast cancer.
The “Mallrats” vet was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015 and underwent a mastectomy, chemotherapy, and radiation at the time.
In 2017, Doherty announced she was in remission, but in February 2020, she revealed she was battling Stage 4 breast cancer.
Doherty told fans she was “fighting to stay alive” during an appearance on “Good Morning America” in October 2021.
“I never want to operate [like I’m dying],” she said.
In November 2023, Doherty shared her Stage 4 breast cancer had spread to her bones after having previously spread to her brain.
“I’m not done with living. I’m not done with loving,” she told People. “I’m not done with creating. I’m not done with hopefully changing things for the better. I’m just not — I’m not done.”
Following Doherty’s death, Garth paid tribute to the late actress.
“I am still processing my tremendous grief over the loss of my long time friend Shannen, the woman I have often described as one of the strongest people I have ever known. Our connection was real and honest,” she wrote on Instagram alongside two photographs of the pair on “90210.”
“We were so often pitted against each other but none of that reflected the truth of our real relationship which was one built on mutual respect and admiration.”
Garth added, “She was courageous, passionate, determined and very loving and generous. I will miss her and will always honor her deeply in my heart and in my memories. My heart breaks for her family and Bowie and all the people who loved her.”
