An eagle-eyed fan shared a rather compelling theory after noticing that Blake Lively’s movies with Justin Baldoni and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, contain some eerie similarities.

When Lively sued Baldoni for sexual harassment on the set of “It Ends With Us” in December 2024, she specifically called out a dance scene where she claimed he made her feel uncomfortable by allegedly kissing her neck and complimenting her smell.

Baldoni, who then countersued for defamation, released raw footage from that specific scene to refute her claims.

In the clip, Lively and Baldoni slow-danced in a bar while extras watched and cheered for a game in the background. Both actors were caught engaging in small talk on their mics — even bringing up their respective spouses, Reynolds and Emily Baldoni.

In “Green Lantern,” Lively’s character does the same with Reynolds’. Warner Bros.

At one point, the “Gossip Girl” alum told her co-star that she thought it was “more romantic” for them to talk while they danced. They also joked about getting her spray tan on him and the size of his nose.

Nonetheless, Lively’s legal team stated that “the video itself is damning” and “corroborates” the actress’ allegations.

As for Lively and Reynolds, the couple met on the “Green Lantern” set in 2010 while he was still married to Scarlett Johansson and she was dating Penn Badgley. They ultimately got married in 2012 and share four children.

In the movie, their characters — Hal Jordan and Carol Ferris — share an intimate dance as they fall in love, which is very similar to the one in “It Ends With Us.”

One movie watcher took to X to point out the similarities, writing, “[…] I noticed that about 30 mins into the [‘Green Lantern], there’s a scene where Lively and Reynolds characters dance in a bar in an almost identical way to the slow dance scene from IEWU.

“The only difference is the characters were talking Could it be possible that Lively was trying to recreate the scene to be similar to the scene she did with her husband when she fell in love with him? Did she rewrite the scene to mirror the details of the dance? Is this what she means when she says her husband is “all over this movie”? [..]

Others echoed her observations, with one person noting, “Wow, that would definitely explain why she thought talking during the dance sequence would be “more romantic”.

“She may have even subconsciously remembered the moment she fell in love with her husband and that’s why she was so insistent on the talking.”

Meanwhile, a third person simply said, “Looks the same.”

However, others pointed out that simply because the scenes were identical does not mean Lively, 37, couldn’t feel uncomfortable around Baldoni, 41.

“who gives a f–k. she was sexually harassed on that f-0ka– film IEWU. And she wasn’t the only one. Hope that helps,” a person alleged.

Since the August 2024 release of “It Ends With Us,” Baldoni and Lively have been tangled up in feud rumors which started when fans noticed that they weren’t doing press together.

Amid claims that they butted heads over creative directions, Reynolds was dragged into it when Lively revealed that he was heavily involved in the making of the movie, including writing some of the scenes.

Things escalated quickly when Lively sued Baldoni for sexual harassment, which he has denied while countersuing for defamation.

Since then, both parties have shared personal text messages, emails and communications between the two to try and prove their case. Baldoni’s lawyer even launched a website that contains all of his proof against Lively.

After refusing meditation, Lively and Baldoni are set to go to trial on March 9, 2026.
