Ben Higgins’ baby is here!
The “Bachelor” alum announced that his wife, Jessica Clarke, had given birth to the couple’s first child, a baby girl, via Instagram on Wednesday.
“Update and more to come but baby girl Higgins has entered the world. She is healthy. @jessclarke_ is doing so well,” he captioned a photo of Clarke in a hospital bed with their newborn.
“I don’t yet have words for what just happened but the update right now is we have a daughter and Jess is recovering so well,” Higgins added.
“The nurses and doctors who cared for us should be lifted high. Also I am biased but God spent a little more time on our baby girl because she’s real beautiful! This beauty will be revealed soon but first she needs a bath.”
The couple revealed Clarke’s pregnancy — the “next chapter of [their] love story” — in an August 2024 Instagram post.
“Baby girl coming in February ❤️,” they captioned the joint video
Clarke and Higgins, 35, hinted at fertility struggles in the social media upload as the esthetician gave herself a shot in the footage.
The then-pregnant star shared their story on the “Almost Famous” podcast, explaining that she hadn’t been “ovulating regularly” before conceiving.
She said, “We did [intrauterine insemination], which is the step before IVF. … It took us one try of IUI, so when it comes to fertility journeys we got really, really lucky.”
The couple have been married since November 2021, walking down the aisle in Tennessee.
When Higgins proposed to his partner in March of the previous year, she called their romance a “dream” via Instagram.
Clarke and the former reality star made their relationship public in February 2019.
He previously competed for Kaitlyn Bristowe’s heart on Season 11 of “The Bachelorette” in 2015 before leading the 20th “Bachelor” season the following year.
Higgins proposed to Lauren Bushnell during the finale.
The duo subsequently starred in their “Happily Ever After?” spinoff.
They split “with heavy hearts” in 2017, writing in a joint statement that they “remain[ed] friends with much love and respect for one another.”
Bushnell moved on with country singer Chris Lane, with whom she shares sons Dutton, 3, and Baker, 2.
