Meghan Markle had a reason for leaving the 2025 Invictus Games early without husband Prince Harry.
“This was always planned,” a source told Hello! Tuesday. “Meghan is going home to be with her children.”
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex did not bring their children –– Prince Archie, 5, and Princess Lilibet, 3 –– to the games in Vancouver, Canada.
The insider also pointed out that Markle, 43, followed a similar pattern for the 2023 games when she arrived in the midst of the games and spent five days with Harry, 40, in Dusseldorf.
“This is Prince Harry’s event and she is there to support him but this was planned,” the source reiterated.
Meanwhile, Harry –– who founded the games in 2014 –– will remain in Vancouver until the closing ceremony Sunday.
A rep for the couple did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
The Archewell co-founders arrived in Canada over the weekend and have already attended a slew of events together.
Markle has been sharing behind-the-scenes photos and videos from their adventures on her newly activated Instagram account over the last few days.
Most recently, she posted a sweet video to her Instagram Story on Tuesday that showed her and Harry holding hands while walking on a snow slope.
Markle later got in on the fun by hesitantly getting on a snow tube while Harry encouraged her to tube down the snowy hill.
The “Suits” alum and the “Spared” author were also photographed smiling and packing on the PDA while attending Saturday’s opening ceremony in the stands at BC Place Stadium.
The couple –– who have been married since 2018 –– kept the fun going by making a surprise appearance at an NHL game later that same day at Rogers Arena.
