Which Roborock 10 series should you buy? Read our analysis

Roborock has long been a trusted name, and with the launch of their new Saros series at the 2025 Consumer Electronics Show, the company is looking to be the best, if not already, in robot technology.

If you’re reading this article, you probably love efficiency and perfectionism to get tasks done with squeaky-clean results.

Robot vacuums can work for you without asking your partner, roommate, or dog to pick up after themselves one more time. The effort just isn’t worth it when technology is so advanced it can do the job for you in useful ways instead of, you know, taking your actual job.

The Saros 10 and Saros 10R promise to revolutionize the way we think about cleaning with a combination of cutting-edge AI, powerful suction, and next-gen navigation systems. But with two models to choose from, how do you decide which one is right for your home?

We’ve had the chance to dig into both models and here’s what we’ve learned.

What is the difference between Roborock’s Saros 10 and Saros 10R?

Both the Saros 10 and Saros 10R sport a thin and easy-to-navigate design. It’s clear that Roborock isn’t just about the basics; they’re also focused on aesthetics. Both robots are designed to dock in minimalist designs to blend into your home without being an eye sore.

The Saros 10 has a traditional round design that is clean and classic with all the latest technology and deep-cleaning 22,000 Pascal suction, suited for larger homes with open spaces.

But if you like gadgets that do it all, check out the Saros 10R. It’s designed with Next-Gen AI-Powered StarSight Autonomous System that steers its way through complicated layouts in your home that would otherwise confuse other vacuums with lesser technology. It’s helpful if you have numerous obstacles in your home, from toys to pets littered about the place.

The VibraRise 4.0 Mopping System has a 27% increase in the vibrating area of the mop compared to previous Roborock models. Basically, it scrubs out stubborn stains. We’re impressed by its ability to asses a stain based on AI algorithms and remove it accordingly. The Saros 10 can raise its front wheels to increase pressure on the mop for a second pass if needed.

Sucking up dirt will not be a problem with 22,000 Pascal suction power. It provides such a thorough, deep clean that you may never need to call the carpet cleaners again.

The Saros 10R focuses heavily on obstacle avoidance — great for complex layouts.

Using its StarSight Autonomous System 2.0 superior 3D scanning capabilities analyzing depth and spatial awareness. It can scan the room at 38,400 frame times per second. For perspective, the human eye can only process 13 milliseconds, translating to 75 frames per second. This finding comes from a study by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, as reported by Healthline. The Saros 10R can process objects as small as 2 centimeters by 2 centimeters, even in the dark.

With both vacuum and mopping technology, your entire floor will be spotless, no matter the terrain. The mop can also lift to 22 millimeters and has an automatic mop removal function.

Overall, this vacuum is excellent for navigating tight spaces with many obstacles.
