Is Joy Behar Still On ‘The View’? Why She’s Been Missing This Week

It’s been an entire week without Joy Behar on The View, and we know what you must be thinking — where the heck is she?! Behar typically graces fans with her presence on The View four days a week, taking over Whoopi Goldberg‘s position as moderator on Fridays when she’s off from her co-hosting duties.

But on this morning’s episode of the hit daytime talk show, Behar was once again nowhere to be found — and unlike most Fridays, Goldberg was right back in her normal seat.

Goldberg was joined on this morning’s show by co-hosts Alyssa Farah GriffinSara HainesAna Navarro and Sunny Hostin. Earlier this week, they welcomed OG co-host Star Jones back to the Hot Topics table to fill in for Behar.

They kicked off today’s show with their own version of a Super Bowl celebration, but the conversation took a deep turn as the co-hosts revealed how they felt about the NFL conveniently replacing their “End Racism” slogan in the end zone with “Choose Love” right before the first time a sitting president (President Donald Trump) will attend a Super Bowl game.

So, why was Behar missing from all of the fun? And when will she be back? Keep reading for everything we know.

Why is Joy Behar not on The View today?

Goldberg did not directly address Behar’s absence on this morning’s episode of The View, though she did tell fans not to “adjust” their television sets. “It’s Friday and yes, I’m here,” she said from her seat, which Behar typically takes over on Fridays.

While no one has revealed exactly why Behar has been out all week, Goldberg did wish the comedian a “happy opening night” during yesterday’s episode, referring to Behar’s theater production My First Ex-Husband, which she wrote and stars in alongside her longtime friend Susie Essman, Tovah Feldshuh and Adrienne C. Moore.
