Kristin Davis says Sarah Jessica Parker is ‘still mad’ about a ‘Sex and the City’ dress

Kristin Davis says that Sarah Jessica Parker may still be fuming over a wardrobe dispute that happened on the set of “Sex and the City.”

Davis — who plays Charlotte York in the series — said that Parker — who plays Carrie Bradshaw — is “still mad” about the bridesmaid dress that she wore at Charlotte’s wedding in Season 3.

“Sarah did not want to wear beige at Charlotte’s wedding,” the “Are you a Charlotte?” podcast host said to showrunner Michael Patrick King on Wednesday’s episode. “Sarah is like still mad about it.”

King recalled filming Charlotte’s wedding to Trey MacDougal (Kyle MacLachlan) as “one of the longest days of [his] life.”

Parker, now 59, was allegedly so upset that she altered the dress and attempted to style it differently.

“SJ goes and cuts up the Vera Wang dress. She hates it,” King said. “She didn’t wanna wear beige so much, she cut it up and started putting tartan pieces on it because Trey was wearing a kilt. I mean it was so funny.”

“No, she was out of her mind,” Davis went on to interject of the alleged dispute that happened while filming the 2000 episode, “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.”

Later, the “And Just Like That” actress, 59, claimed that Parker came to her to vent about the ensemble.

King called filming the wedding episode “one of the longest days of [his] life.”

“At one point, she came to me and she was like, ‘I don’t understand…,’” Davis recalled.

“And I’m like, ‘But, it’s Charlotte’s wedding. Of course, you’d be wearing beige — matching. I mean, I don’t understand what you don’t understand.’”

Parker’s reps were not immediately available for comment.

Charlotte’s bridesmaids including Carrie, Samantha (Kim Cattrall) and Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) all wore beige Vera Wang dresses that slightly varied in style.

“She didn’t wanna wear beige so much, she cut it up and started putting tartan pieces on it because Trey was wearing a kilt. I mean it was so funny,” he also said.
Davis also said that she told Parker she didn’t “understand” why she didn’t “understand” that the women were wearing matching gowns. Sony Podcasts

Miranda’s gown covered up her décolletage, whereas Samantha’s featured a plunging neckline and barely-there straps.

Carrie’s dress, meanwhile, was the only strapless gown — matching Charlotte’s strapless look.

Later in the conversation with King, Davis recalled that neither of the show’s main characters wore similar looks for Carrie’s wedding to Big (Chris Noth) in the first “Sex and the City” movie.

“Cut to her wedding many years later, Carrie’s wedding. You know, we were obviously not going to be wearing matching bridesmaid’s dresses,” she said to King.

Davis also revealed that her black Zac Posen gown dubbed the “Black Swan,” which she wore to Carrie’s wedding, is one of her favorite ensembles from the franchise.

Carrie famously wore a Vivienne Westwood bridal gown for her lavish wedding to Big that ultimately ended up being canceled. She later wore a dress “by no one” in her court wedding to the financier.
