Awkward!
Nikki Glaser sat just one table over from Jennifer Lopez at the 2025 Grammy Awards on Sunday — one month after she made fun of Lopez’s ex, Ben Affleck, at the 2025 Golden Globe Awards.
Glaser and Lopez’s seats were revealed on the show when Benson Boone kicked off the Best New Artist performance segment.
Boone, 22, was sitting at the same table as Lopez, 55, and he got up and walked over to the neighboring table where Glaser, 40, was seated. The comedian and Heidi Klum helped Boone strip out of his black and white suit before he took his performance to the stage.
It’s unclear if Lopez and Glaser interacted at the award show.
Last month, Glaser hosted the Golden Globes and used her monologue to take a shot at Affleck, 52, who was not at the event.
“Tonight we celebrate the best of film,” Glaser said to the audience. “Wicked. Queer. Nightbitch. These are not just words Ben Affleck yells after he orgasms.”
The next day, Glaser appeared on Howard Stern’s SiriusXM show and revealed she cut another joke about Affleck from her monologue.
Glaser almost said, “Am I gonna roast or am I gonna toast? You know what? I’m not roasting. I’m gonna toast.”
“And I just did all these toasts that were roasts,” she explained of the cut bit. “Like, ‘Here’s to Ben Affleck, I can’t wait to see which Jennifer you try to ruin next.’”
In August, Lopez filed for divorce from Affleck two years after marrying and taking their second shot at love. The pair first got engaged in 2002 before calling it quits in 2004.
The “Air” director previously married Jennifer Garner in 2005. They announced their separation 10 years later but didn’t file for divorce until 2017.
Last year, Glaser and Affleck both participated in Netflix’s Tom Brady roast. While Glaser was praised for her ruthless jokes about the retired NFL star, Affleck bombed during his turn as he went on a strange rant about social media.
Glaser later shaded Affleck’s set during an interview on “KFC Radio.”
“He didn’t prepare,” Glaser said. “He’s someone who’s famous enough that he probably thinks that this is beneath him to do this, so I’m just gonna do a favor. It’s not going to be that big of a deal.”
“There were jokes that could have been used to fill up a set that would have been amazing, but either they couldn’t get him on the phone enough to work out something, he didn’t practice enough, or he just picked a bad premise and then he had to stick to it the whole time,” Glaser further explained.
