Watch live: NTSB, officials give update on DCA crash probe

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and other officials will provide an update Friday afternoon on their investigation into the deadly plane crash outside of Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) earlier this week.

The NTSB, which is leading the probe, has urged the public not to speculate on what caused the fatal collision Wednesday evening between an American Airlines passenger plane and Army Black Hawk helicopter, which likely killed 67 people. Emergency response crews have thus far recovered more than 40 bodies and several aircraft parts, including the flight recorders, from the icy Potomac River near Washington.

D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser (D) and officials from the D.C. Fire and Emergency Medical Service Department are also expected to attend.

The update from a National Airport terminal is scheduled for noon EST.
