Spencer Pratt Still Holds A Grudge Against Andy Cohen For Calling Heidi Montag “Trash” In 2011 — And Won’t Let His Wife Join Housewives

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills won’t be welcoming Heidi Montag any time soon — if her husband Spencer Pratt has anything to say about it.

After a fan proposed Montag’s casting on X on Saturday (Jan. 25), Pratt replied (with a heart emoji) 15 minutes later by saying, “no thanks,” per the New York Post.

The chatter continued after Pratt was asked on X if he would “ever go to the clubhouse for Watch What Happens Live,” a proposal Pratt swiftly rejected, referring to past beef with host Andy Cohen.

“The person who said he would rather scratch his eyes out then watch my wife … hard pass,” he wrote with another heart emoji.

Pratt, whose home he shares with fellow Hills alum Montag fell victim to the LA wildfires, fired back after someone online claimed he would be “lucky” to appear on WWHL.

“Lol yah so lucky the guy that bashes my wife gonna be so lucky to sit with him,” he penned. “Rather sit in my burned house rubble.”

Pratt is citing Cohen’s comments from a 2011 episode of his Bravo late night show, during which he called out a post of Montag’s at the time insinuating that she and Pratt were in talks with the RHOBH producers.

“Professionally, I’m not supposed to discuss any negotiations, so I have to parse my words here,” Cohen said. “That trash is delusional, and I would sooner stab my knives into my own eyes than see her on this network.”

After a fan account shared a clip of Cohen’s comments, Pratt thanked them, writing, “Wow if he wants to ever link up off camera I’m available.”

Cohen had issued an apology to Montag, explaining to People (via Bravo’s website) at the time, “There had been so many rumors going on about the Housewives last week, I think I was at the tipping point, basically. I guess I got a little carried away.”

Montag addressed Cohen’s comments once again while speaking with The Hollywood Reporter in a September 2023 interview, insisting that she “could easily go on Orange County or Beverly Hills.” This prompted Cohen to elaborate on why he wouldn’t have Montag on Housewives in a September 2023 segment of his Sirius XM show, Radio Andy, where he clarified that he doesn’t know Montag and Pratt and “didn’t watch Laguna Beach.”

“I don’t even have much institutional knowledge of them. I have said that I thought it would be weird if they were on The Housewives because the same reason that I was saying that it would be weird if Snooki came on The Housewives,” he added. “They’re so identified, not only with another show but with another network. So, it’s like, ‘But wait a minute, you are supposed to be on Jersey Shore.”

Cohen acknowledged another comment of Montag and Pratt’s THR interview, in which Montag speculated Cohen being “a Lauren fan,” referring to Lauren Conrad, her Hills co-star.

“They said that they thought it was because I was a big Lauren Conrad fan and I’m like … I’m kind of not,” he said, per People.

Cohen also recently weighed in on the possibility of RHOBH alum Lisa Vanderpump returning, claiming that he “do[es]n’t see her coming back to that show.” He also recently fielded Julia Fox‘s request to be cast on The Real Housewives of New York City.

“You know what? I would do a season and see how it goes,” Fox teased on the Jan. 22 episode of WWHL. “I just need to shake it up a little bit.”
