How to read ‘The Crash’ by Frieda McFadden for free

Another Tuesday, another hotly anticipated new book hit shelves.

This week, it’s a release from Frieda McFadden, whose novel “The Housemaid” was one of Post Wanted’s favorite reads of 2024. “The Crash” is McFadden’s newest domestic thriller that, having been out for less than a day, is already an Amazon best seller with a 4.24/5 star rating on Goodreads.

“The Crash” is a “gut-wrenching story of motherhood, survival, and twisted expectations” and a “snowbound thriller” on the level you’ve come to expect from McFadden.

The book follows Tegan, who is eight months pregnant and completely alone. She’s planning to stay with her brother until she can figure out how to pick up the pieces of her life and rebuild. Driving into a blizzard, she never makes it to her brother’s house. Tegan’s car is dead, her leg is broken, and she’s rescued and taken in by a couple who offer her a room in their warm cabin until the snow clears.

Everything is not what it seems, though, and Tegan finds herself — and her unborn child — in grave danger.

Doesn’t that sound like a book where you just need to know what happens? Luckily, there’s an easy and free way to read it without having to rely on library waitlists, which are always incredibly long on a book’s publication date.

Audible offers a one month free trial for new users that comes with one book, completely free, to keep forever — even if you cancel after the one month is up.
