Jimmy Kimmel roasted President Donald Trump during a recent episode of Live about his ongoing feud with the ladies of The View after the President issued several (slightly surprising) executive orders.
Kimmel featured a hilarious skit using CNN footage that showed Trump signing increasingly ridiculous executive orders. “Many of these orders were expected but some were not. Some of them even seemed to take him by surprise,” Kimmel noted.
The skit showed a White House aide handing Trump several executive orders to sign while announcing what they pertain to. The skit used a voiceover from a Live staffer, but maintained Trump’s actual commentary.
“Sir, this is a permit to build a Hooters directly in front of the Vietnam War Memorial,” the aide said.
As Trump signed it, he replied, “That’s a big one. People have wanted to do this for years.”
Another executive order was “for something called a penis laser.”
“That’s a big one, lot of big ones,” Trump noted.
But another executive order took aim at Trump’s critics: “Sir, this is an arrest warrant for three of the four women who host The View.”
“Okay, sounds reasonable,” Trump commented as he signed the executive order.
It’s no secret that Trump has had a long standing feud with The View ladies.
They have certainly done little to hide their feelings of Trump’s reelection, with Sunny Hostin recently calling Trump a “DEI hire,” while Joy Behar refused to even refer to Trump by name during the broadcast.
Behar has previously claimed Trump is too “scared” to appear on the show.
“He doesn’t go on any interviews now because he’s afraid they’re gonna fact-check him,” she said. “The other thing — he wouldn’t go on 60 Minutes. He would never come here. He’s scared of us.”
It appears that Kimmel is not alone in criticizing the president. But he certainly knows that may not be safe from President Trump’s ire; he recently lamented that Biden did not pre-emptively pardon him as he pardoned Dr. Fauci and the House committee that investigated the Jan. 6 insurrection to protect them against Trump.
“Biden did not pre-emptively pardon any talk show hosts this morning, which many found disappointing,” he joked.
Jimmy Kimmel Live! airs on weeknights at 11:35/10:35c on ABC.
