Jenna Bush Hager brought back one of Today‘s funniest segments when Taraji P. Henson joined her on Today With Jenna & Friends, and the results were, of course, hilarious.
After sharing a round of margaritas, the co-hosts played a round of “Tool Time,” where they try out different mysterious tools and guessed their uses. The segment kicked off with a suction tool used for facial cupping massages that looked… questionable, to say the least. But Henson could barely contain her thoughts when Bush Hager showed her the tool.
“It’s too early in the morning for these thoughts I’m having,” she said with a laugh. “It’s too early in the morning!”
“Everything looks dirty if you let it,” Bush Hager commented as she tried to figure out what the tool was meant for.
Henson continued, “My brain is too dark.”
Bush Hager agreed. “Is it the margarita or what, because my brain is there too,” she admitted.
Henson later admitted that she is certainly one to fall for social media ads for strange tools like the one on today’s show.
“Oh yeah, they catch me all the time. And then I get it and it doesn’t work like it’s supposed to,” she told Bush Hager.
The Fight Night actress is the first celebrity guest host to join Bush Hager on the newest iteration of the fourth hour of Today, Today With Jenna & Friends. Henson gave a toast at the top of the episode to celebrate Bush Hager’s first week on her brand new show.
Bush Hager’s host of five years, NBC icon Hoda Kotb, retired from the show just last week. While Craig Melvin replaced Kotb on the earlier hours of Today, Bush Hager is still looking for a permanent guest host to fill Kotb’s spot in the fourth hour.
As she explained it to Henson earlier this week, “I was a child bride. I got married at 26 years old. Not too [young], but childish.”
“So, I haven’t really dated,” she said. “This is kind of my dating era and you’re my first date. I’m blushing.”
