Rams’ Jared Verse has a passionate hatred of Eagles fans

Rams rookie edge rusher Jared Verse didn’t sugarcoat his feelings about the Eagles faithful ahead of Sunday’s NFC Divisional Round playoff game at Lincoln Financial Field.

“I hate Eagles fans,” Verse, 24, told The Los Angeles Times on Thursday. “They’re so annoying. I hate Eagles fans.”

Verse, who’s in contention for Defensive Rookie of the Year, has roots in Pennsylvania.

He grew up in Berwick, Pennsylvania, and attended Central Columbia High School in Bloomsburg.

Verse recalled hearing obscenities spewed at him by Philadelphia fans when the Rams hosted the Eagles at SoFi Stadium in November — and he heard them all, despite wearing headphones.

“I didn’t even do nothing to ‘em,” he said. “It was my first time playing. Oh, I hate Eagles fans.”

Verse wasn’t done.

“When I see that green and white I hate it,” he said. “I actually get upset. Like I actually genuinely get hot.”

NFL players have been open about heckling from Eagles fans.

Verse shared his comments after a viral incident involving fans during the Eagles-Packers wild-card game in Philadelphia on Sunday.

Ryan Caldwell, an Eagles fan, was captured on video heckling Ally Keller, a female Packers fan and repeatedly called her a “dumb c–t.”

Caldwell was fired from his job with a DEI-focused company and banned from all future events at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia this week.

Caldwell issued and apology and explained in a statement to The Post that the video circulating online “does not reflect the full context of what transpired, and my actions were not without provocation” in the incident.

Verse, who might’ve put a target on his back when his team heads into the Linc on Sunday, vowed to be disciplined and follow his assignments to help the Rams advance to the NFC Championship game.

“I’ve been trying to show coach [Sean] McVay that I can play wide receiver or running back — whatever he needs me to do,” Verse said.

Verse was selected by the Rams out of Florida State in the first round, 19th overall, of the 2024 NFL draft.

He went on to make the Pro Bowl in his rookie season.
