President Biden is beginning his farewell tour around Washington this week with an address on Monday at the State Department to highlight his work on foreign policy during his presidency.
Biden is expected to defend his foreign policy legacy, including reconnecting the U.S. with its allies and strengthening NATO.
Biden oversaw two major wars in Ukraine and Gaza, which dominated U.S. foreign policy matters during his only term as president. While he’s credited with bolstering Ukraine’s defenses against Russia, some Democrats have criticized his handling of the war between Israel and Hamas.
His remarks are scheduled for 2 p.m. EST.
