Prince Harry makes heartfelt gesture to LA fire victim during visit with Meghan Markle

Prince Harry went out of his way to fetch a Los Angeles fire victim a unique request, as he and Meghan Markle lent a helping hand at the Pasadena Convention Center on Friday.

The Duke of Sussex, who dressed in disguise in an N-95 mask and hat, approached an elderly bedridden man to ask if he would like a sandwich, water or snack from a food cart.

“The gentleman said, ‘What I’d really like is a donut,’” Mayor Victor Gordo, who was pushing the cart, told the Pasadena Star.

“[Harry] says, ‘There’s no donut here, but I will find one,’” the politician continued. “He takes off, and 10 minutes later, he returns with a donut.

“The gentleman looks up and says, ‘I guess I need my carbs and my sugar.’”

Gordo explained the unidentified man didn’t know he was in the presence of a royal, and recalled him telling Harry, “‘If you ever run for anything, I’ll vote for you.’”

Harry, 40, and Markle, 43, stepped out to assist wildfire victims by distributing food and necessities.

According to People, the couple thanked members of the Los Angeles fire and police departments, along with relief teams on site.

“It’s great people, great personalities and great heart for them to come out here and meet with the first responders, meet with the people who were affected,” Gordo told Fox 11.

The mayor shared that the duo “really buoyed the spirits of the first responders.”

“They want to be as helpful as they can be … we visited with some of the affected families in some of the burned-out areas in Pasadena and Altadena,” he continued.

“They took the time to meet the people that are affected and spent time. They’re just very caring people who are concerned for their friends and neighbors.”

Markle and Harry reside about 90 miles north of Los Angeles in Montecito, Calif. Luckily, their $14 million estate has not been impacted by the Palisades or Eaton fires, which broke out last week.

According to People, the two opened their sprawling property — where they live with their two children, Prince Archie, 5, and Princess Lilibet, 3 — to friends who were forced to flee their homes.

Last week, the “Spare” author and the “Suits” alum also announced they were attempting to find the best way to assist victims through their Archewell Foundation.
