Where to buy tickets, schedule

We’re saying Yes to this tour.

Jon Anderson, the former singer of the legendary prog rock group, just announced he’s embarking on an 18-concert run with The Band Geeks this April and May.

Near the end of the trek, the “Owner Of A Lonely Heart” vocalist will make a trio of Tri-State stops at North Tonawanda, NY’s Riviera Theater on Wednesday, April 30, Westbury, NY’s Flagstar at Westbury Music Fair on Friday, May 16 and Carteret, NJ’s Carteret Performing Arts Center on Sunday, May 18.

“The evening will consist of YES epics and classics as well as songs from [Jon Anderson and The Band Geeks’] debut album ‘TRUE’ which was released in August 2024 to worldwide critical acclaim,” Anderson shared on Instagram. They’ll also be promoting their upcoming “Jon Anderson and The Band Geeks Live – Perpetual Change” album, which hits shelves March 14.

Prior to this nationwide outing, the 80-year-old Rock and Roll Hall of Famer last toured the U.S. in 2022. Also, Yes diehards may want to note that Anderson’s former bandmate Rick Wakeman — who served as a keyboardist and composer for the group — is hitting the road as well this spring.

Fans can purchase tickets for all upcoming Jon Anderson shows on sites like Vivid Seats; the official on-sale is Friday, Jan. 17.

Vivid Seats is a secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.

They have a 100% buyer guarantee that states your transaction will be safe and secure and will be delivered before the event.

Jon Anderson new music

On Aug. 23, 2024, Anderson and The Band Geeks dropped his sixteenth studio album “True.”

And, we’re happy to report, he sounds just like he did in his ’70s and ’80s heyday.

That famous falsetto is still as powerful as ever as evidenced by fist-pumping anthems like “True Messenger” and “Shine On” as well as gorgeous prog ballads “Counties and Countries” and “Build Me An Ocean.”

However, if you’re looking for a track that would truly fit in in Yes’ catalog, look no further than the 16-minute adventure “Once Upon A Dream” that takes so many left turns it’s like four songs in one, building, swelling, shrinking and exploding with trademark keys. Simply put, “Once Upon A Dream” is glorious.

To hear for yourself, you can find “True” here.

The Band Geeks

Anderson first toured with The Band Geeks in spring 2023 and played mostly Yes classics. He told Rolling Stone “I have this feeling that, in my mind, in my thoughts, I’m still in Yes, even though I got very ill and [Yes] had to carry on.”

Enter The Band Geeks.

Led by bassist and musical director Richie Castellano, the ensemble started as an audio-only podcast before switching to YouTube where a rotating group of friends and special guest musicians covered classic rock and pop anthems.

Anderson discovered the group and the rest is history.

You can hear their note-perfect quarantine version of “Roundabout” here.
