Mia Thornton didn’t hold back on Sunday night’s (Nov. 3) episode of Watch What Happens Live, where she shaded her Real Housewives of Potomac co-star Karen Huger for taking “zero” ownership following her DUI.
Back in March, TMZ reported that Huger had totaled her car in a high-speed accident. The reality star was ultimately charged with one count of driving under the influence and hit with six other traffic violations.
The car crash has been a hot topic in The Real Housewives of Potomac Season 9, with Thornton feeling as though Huger hasn’t taken full accountability for her DUI.
When Thornton stopped by the Bravo Clubhouse, she made her stance loud and clear.
Host Andy Cohen asked her to name the biggest lesson Huger learned from her DUI, to which she bluntly replied, “Not to drink and drive.” Thornton also quipped that Huger’s nickname should be “Let Me Hire a Driver.” Plus, she declared that her co-star has taken “zero” ownership since her accident and shaded her tendency to “deflect” when “facing daggers.”
Thornton recently stopped by DECIDER’s studio, where she further opened up about Huger’s actions since her DUI.
“I don’t understand why she won’t just say, like, ‘I made a poor decision and it’s okay because I’m going to learn from it and it’s not going to happen again,’” Thornton said. “Just move on from it. Like, why are we still talking about it?”
“But it’s the lack of accountability that really is hard for me to defend or to support, which is why you’re getting the version of Mia that you guys see on the TV screen,” she continued. “You’re not going to deflect. We’re going to hold you accountable. That’s what real friends do.”
Shortly after the accident, Huger released a statement claiming she was driving home from dinner when she noticed another car heading right toward her.
“I swerved to avoid the head-on collision, hit the divider and then a tree. I’m hurt, bruised up a bit, but so grateful I am alive!” she said. “I did receive citations, one of which was unrelated to the incident which is understandable, but what was most surprising is that the car that almost hit me just drove away!”
She added, “I would like to stress, it’s important to understand your emotional state when driving and may this be a reminder to all to use their seatbelts, my Mother may be my Guardian Angel but the seatbelt saved my life.”
Watch What Happens Live airs Sunday through Thursdays at 10 p.m. ET on Bravo. New episodes are available to stream the next day on Peacock.
