Joey Fatone is back on tour — but not with *NSYNC.
Fatone’s currently hitting the road with Backstreet Boys singer AJ McLean, and tells Page Six Style it’s been “a blast” reliving his boy band days.
“We sing each other’s songs, we tell stories,” says the Skrewball Whiskey ambassador, sharing that the duo’s set list includes not only *NSYNC and Backstreet Boys tunes, but also other ’90s and 2000s hits like Blackstreet’s “No Diggity” and Lit’s “My Own Worst Enemy.”
As for whether fans can expect another *NSYNC reunion sometime soon? Fatone says he’s been chatting with bandmates Justin Timberlake, Lance Bass, Chris Kirkpatrick and JC Chasez and “seeing if there’s something on the table that everybody can agree upon.”
“Is it new music? Is it a tour? Is it new music and a tour? Do we just tour? Like, what exactly is it?” he says. “We don’t 100% know yet, but once we know, I’m sure everybody else will know.”
Until then, shop Fatone’s on-the-road essentials below.
“For some reason, I’m wearing a lot of pink on stage. I don’t know why. But the pink sneakers I have are the Powerpuff Girl [pair]. I’m really huge into Nike; the SB Dunks are low and they’re just comfortable to wear.”
“If I’m in a hotel and I can’t go anywhere, pop on the Oculus. You can watch a movie, you can play games. You can do pretty much anything, which is great.”
“I just got it recently. It’s a game changer; it’s got saline and saltwater, basically. Off the stage, pump it up, it’ll open up your vocal cords a little bit more, moisten them.”
“It’s the weirdest thing. I believe I was on a river-tracing vacation in Taiwan, and I remember when we were eating, they always had chopsticks with them. I carry chopsticks in my backpack now all the time. You never know when you’re going to need some sort of utensil.”
“Definitely gotta bring my blood pressure pills. I’m getting old! My girlfriend bought me a box that says, ‘Take your damn pills,’ because sometimes I forget.”
“Clean underwear! My dad always told me, ‘You gotta [pack] clean underwear.’ This company has [undies] with Bob Ross on them. It’s awesome.”
