Now that the summer months are here I’ve been busy with this and that and the other. I recently got back to crocheting. I was really missing it so I made a baby washcloth but I forgot to take a picture. I crocheted this dishcloth though its not my best work, it will be perfect for washing dishes that don’t go in the dishwasher. I can’t seem to find where I saw this pattern so I don’t know who to credit for it. Anyway, I used I Love The Cotton from Hobby Lobby.
I’m currently working on a summer shrug/cardigan and I want to finish it in the next couple of weeks.
Our church ladies did a watercolor painting class taught by one of our young moms. I had never done any kind of painting before but our artist was patient and very helpful. It was rather fun to let our inner artist come out. It’s not perfect, but I’m rather pleased with it. I feel like I want to paint a tree or two maybe. I added some ” happy little” clouds as Bob Ross used to say. I had fun and I hope to do more painting in the future.
I’m getting back to my sewing again so I want to get my sewing lesson books out again and work on the lessons on setting sleeves and putting in zippers. I have a dress that is cut out and ready for me to sew but I need to know how to do the zippers and sleeves.
June is my yearly one month break from Instagram and I have to say its been hard. I didn’t realize just how in bondage to social media I am. Though the break from it has been hard, it has been great to replace the constant scrolling with more productive activities.
