The first round of the 2024 NFL Draft is in the rearview, and the Giants and Jets still have plenty of work to do. Here’s what The Post’s Paul Schwartz and Brian Costello see as their remaining holes to fill:

Friday needs to be a productive night for the Giants.
They have one pick in the second round (No. 47 overall) and one pick in the third round (No. 70 overall).
There is a glaring need on the roster for a cornerback with the potential to start and that need is likely to be addressed with one of these picks — more likely in the second round.
Surprisingly, CB Cooper DeJean of Iowa was not selected in the first round and he could be someone for the Giants to trade up to get.
There are other areas to address.
Offensive tackle depth is a concern, as is finding a starting safety.
With Saquon Barkley gone and Devin Singletary the only proven veteran on the roster, how about taking a shot at a running back in the third round?

What Jets might do on Day 2 of 2024 NFL Draft
The Jets have only one pick entering Day 2 of the draft.
They do not have a second-round pick after sending that to Green Bay in the Rodgers trade.
Their lone pick is No. 72 overall in the third round.
The Jets acquired some more draft capital in the trade with the Vikings on Thursday night, so they might be able to trade their way up into the second round if they so desire.
After taking an offensive tackle in Round 1, the Jets need to land a wide receiver on Day 2.
If they go defense, safety would be a consideration.
