ABC News, “This Week”:
White House spokesperson John Kirby continued the Biden Administration’s apparent trend toward criticizing Israel, suggesting that Israel would need to prove itself before the United States had “confidence” in their strategy in Gaza moving forward.
Kirby explained that President Biden wanted to see “sustained changes in the way they’re operating on the ground and the way they are allowing humanitarian assistance to get in” to Gaza, “so that confidence can be restored.”

Kirby went on to explain that over time, the Biden administration had expressed a “growing degree of frustration that we’ve had with the way these operations these operations are being prosecuted and the way that the Israelis are acting on the ground in terms of civilian casualties.”

CBS News, “Face the Nation”:
Rachel Goldberg-Polin is still awaiting the return of her son, Hersh — who was taken hostage by Hamas terrorists on October 7, 2023 — and she told CBS’ “Face the Nation” that after six months, she viewed the situation as a “complete failure on everybody’s part.”
“I have not been able to save my son,” she said. “I feel that I have failed, and I feel our governments have failed.”

White House National Security spokesperson John Kirby addressed reports of Israel Defense Forces executing a partial troop withdrawal from southern Gaza, and he explained that the move was designed to give IDF troops a chance to rest and regroup ahead of any additional planned action.
Kirby said that the IDF had planned the partial withdrawal in order to “rest and refit,” adding, “What they’ll do with those troops after a rest and refit, I can’t speak to.”

CNN, “State of the Union”:
CNN anchor Jake Tapper also spoke to family members of another hostage, Omer, who remains in Hamas captivity. “I can’t believe we’re sitting here six months later.”
Israel has offered several times to suspend fighting and implement at least a temporary ceasefire if Hamas would agree to release more of the hostages — proposing similar arrangements to the deal that was released last year, which resulted in some of the hostages being returned home. Hamas leadership has repeatedly rejected such propositions.

Governor Greg Abbott (R-TX) joined “Fox News Sunday” guest host Martha MacCallum to discuss the ongoing crisis at the southern border — a crisis that former President Trump has dubbed “Biden’s Border Bloodbath” — and Abbott argued that the Biden administration has “abandoned” responsibility to handle the influx of illegal immigrants.
Abbott accused Biden of allowing open borders in an attempt to appease the far Left within his own party, and argued that because of his policies, the United States was being “invaded in ways that put our country at risk.”
The Texas Governor went on to accuse Mayor Eric Adams (D-NYC) of “aiding and abetting” the Biden administration by embracing “sanctuary city” policies.

MSNBC, “Inside With Jen Psaki”:
Former White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki sat down on Sunday with Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg to discuss the continued fallout after the collapse of the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore — and Psaki’s chief complaint was former President Donald Trump had not joined other politicians in “acknowledging” the immigrant victims who were killed.
“I mean, Trump is running for president,” Psaki began. “He has yet to acknowledge the victims of the tragedy in Baltimore who were fixing the potholes on the bridge at the time of the collapse. All of them were immigrants — I have my own views, but why do you think he’s said absolutely nothing?”
“Just at a human level it would be helpful for the former president to weigh in here and show the solidarity that we’ve seen from most, if not all, elected officials on either side of the aisle,” Buttigieg replied.
