Want free movies, shows, and music for life? Find out how

TL;DR: Read my review on this $29.99 streaming platform that helps you find free movies, shows, and music for life.

We need to stop normalizing paying as much as we do for streaming services, because why am I spending $50 every month for Netflix, Hulu, and Max? That’s $600 a year! I should be giving that money to Doordash, not the streaming debt collectors.

I got to thinking that there’s no way this hellscape — or ending up on sketchy websites — is my only way to stay entertained after work (and, fine, on weekends, too), and that’s when I found BitMar.

BitMar is like walking into a streaming mall, except everything you see is free! And you won’t be caught shoplifting. All you have to do is pay a one-time entry fee to get lifetime access to the platform, and it’s only $29.99 (reg. $150). I got addicted at first sight. Or, I should say, stream.

No recurring fees, no hassle, no stress

While the biggest shock of using BitMar is most definitely not getting charged up the wazoo each month, I was also flabbergasted when sign-up took seconds. You heard me.

I just entered my redemption code, and there isn’t even a need to make an account or remember a stupid password with BitMar — you just authorize each new device through each other with links. It’s far easier and faster than signing up for those rewards programs at the real mall.

Then, I started window shopping. BitMar has free movies, TV shows, videos, and music, and I can browse everything as easily as a mall directory. Plus, they’re committed to making sure I find something to watch.

On weeknights, when I’m bouncing between scrolling through channels, categories, and genres, BitMar shows the option “I still don’t know what to watch,” so I’ll click that. Then, I’ll pick “Help me choose further” — it’s actually kind of funny, but I don’t see Netflix, Hulu, or Max that devoted! It’s like having a personal shopper in my streaming mall.

I especially love the option for “Random content” because that’s what I need when I’m just looking for background noise while I eat (I’m a closeted iPad kid) or sleep. It’s also the equivalent of aimlessly wandering through the mall until you find something you like!

Practically endless entertainment at your fingertips

TV Shows

But, I won’t lie. I never go to the mall without hitting up my favorite stores, so I was pretty jazzed to see some of my favorite channels on BitMar — yup, still free! Here are just a few:

  • A&E
  • AMC
  • Animal Planet
  • Cartoon Network
  • HGTV
  • ESPN
  • FOX
  • GSN
  • MTV

I got pretty hooked on A&E because they have marathons of I Survived… and Intervention, which are oddly addicting, but there’s almost certainly something up your alley, too. There’s even a channel for dogs!

Movies

This selection is wider than I imagined — like a mega-mall! Trying to find the latest movies like Madame Web and Road House (the remake, not the one with Patrick Swayze) might be out of the question for the time being, but if you’re after some deeper cuts, BitMar might just have them.

I did a search for Tom Cruise (because who doesn’t love that face!) and found The OutsidersEyes Wide ShutWar of the Worlds, and Legend (he saves the unicorns in this one if you’ve never seen it).

Honestly, just type in your celebrity crush and see what pops up. Or, check out some documentaries and be a smartypants. I won’t tell you what to do.

Music

I was mostly looking to cut ties with Netflix, Hulu, and Max, but now I might say goodbye to Spotify because BitMar also has music. Including Taylor Swift, love or hate her.

There’s also an option to search concerts, which I do realize are on YouTube, but it’s pretty nice to have everything filtered out for me by artist without all the usual distractions.

The reason any of this is even legal is because all of the content on BitMar is already available on the web. Ever heard of YouTube, PlutoTV, or iHeartMedia? That’s where BitMar is pulling the content from, so you don’t have to go searching for it yourself.

Believe me, I used to spend my days searching the web for free content, and it’s very time-consuming and even dangerous if you end up in the wrong places. Once, I got some sort of virus, and it wiped my entire hard drive. I lost all of my Metallica concert videos. True story. This route is so much easier and cheaper.

Pay $29.99 (reg. $150) once and stream free movies, TV shows, music, and more for life with a BitMar lifetime subscription. Stream with caution because it gets addicting!
