The Banker Has Spoken! ‘Deal Or No Island’ Will Be Back For Season 2

The Banker has spoken! NBC’s surprise smash hit Deal Or No Deal Island will be back for a second season. The reality competition show has won over audiences everywhere with its dynamite combination of the traditional game of Deal Or No Deal with Survivor-esque challenges and twists. The success of Deal Or No Deal Island is undeniable. The show has reached 30 million total viewers across linear and digital platforms this season thus far! Also impressive, the freshman series is currently the #1 NBC unscripted show on Peacock.

Hosted by Joe Manganiello and executive produced by Howie Mandel, the competition hybrid has offered twists and turns right from the start. With all of their activities overseen by the mysterious Banker, the competitors take part in wild challenges to obtain briefcases that will determine whether they are put in the position to face the Banker in a high-stakes game of Deal Or No Deal. The rules were simple, at first. Make a good deal with the Banker and the player gets to eliminate another player. Make a bad deal with the Banker and the players themselves get eliminated. As the game went on, the Banker pulled out a few tricks, including offering players payments (up to $100,000) to leave the competition on the spot. Who could resist cold hard cash?

On top of the enticing gameplay, the first iteration of Deal Or No Deal Island featured dynamic players. While established stars like Survivor’s “Boston” Rob Mariano and original Deal Or No Deal case girl Claudia Jordan stood out, the rest of the competitors were no slouches. Boston Rob’s recently eliminated sole ally, Aron Barbell, quickly became a fan favorite because of his humble nature, shrewd strategy and sweet humor. Floater Jordan Fowler has expertly navigated the various alliances to ensure her spot in the final four. Amy McCoy and Stephanie Mitchell have proved to be fearless, going toe-to-toe against seasoned vet Boston Rob, no matter the consequences . With everyone but one against him, Boston Rob has cemented his reputation as reality TV’s competition king through his masterful fight to stay alive in the game.

Who will take home the Banker’s big prize pot? Tune in to NBC on May 13 at 10PM to find out!
