Taylor Swift fans can’t seem to shake off the feeling that a major announcement is coming tonight at the Grammys 2024.
And Swifties everywhere are collectively saying, are you ready for it?
The 34-year-old pop star is up for six awards. The nominations are: Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal album for “Midnights;” Best Pop Solo Performance, Song Of The Year, Record of the Year, and Record of the Year for “Anti-Hero;” and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for her frosty remix of “Karma,” featuring Ice Spice.
If Swift wins album of the year, she will make history as the first artist to win album of the year four times.
But if that wasn’t enough reason to celebrate, singer/songwriter’s fandom is convinced that Swift is finally ready to announcing her long awaited new project: “Reputation (Taylor’s Version).”
On Feb. 4 fans noticed that a change was made to Swift’s social media accounts after the “Anti-Hero” singer changed her profile photo on Instagram, Facebook and X (the platform formerly known as Twitter) to a black and white image reminiscent of the original “Reputation” album art, though the picture itself is from the “Midnights” album photoshoot.
Upon further analysis of the profile picture, one fan pondered if the pictured alluded to a specific time for the album drop tonght: “BLACK AND WHITE PIC FROM MIDNIGHTS = REP TV OUT AT MIDNIGHT ??????”
“Y’all this is an Easter egg,” TikTok user Jake Deyton said in one video, referring to the singer’s bad habit (lol) of hiding Easter eggs for her fans to find. “This a Taylor Swift Easter egg. This is clear as day. This is actually happening. This is going to be an insane night. I am not sure if she is going to wait to win a specific award but this is big.”
After months and months of clowing, we finally won,” he added.
Another fan on TikTok by the name of Alex Antonides straight up called a “Swiftie emergency” and said, “We all know what this means. Reputation (Taylor’s Version) is imminent…I’m shaking, beyond belief. It’s happening.”
“I THOUGHT I WAS READY BUT NOW OM SCARED,” said a nervous fan. Another wrote in all caps for emphasis, “NO EXPLANATION JUST REPUTATION.”
Fans are so ready for a big announcement at the Grammys tonight that “Rep TV” is trending.
“If she ends her damn acceptance speech with ‘there will be no explanation there will just be reputation’ and just walks off. Like, what do we do? What’s the protocol?” one fan tweeted.
“REPUTATION STANS RISE IT’S OUR TIME TO SHINE,” another Swiftie wrote on X.
On Sunday, Swift’s website appeared to be down, but the error code raised a flew red flags because it was a custom “321” error code with the message: “hneriergrd.”
Fans will have to wait until the Grammys 2024 tonight to see if their theories are real, but there’s no doubt they are ready for it indeed.
