When Taylor Swift was awarded her two trophies at the 2024 Grammys on Sunday night, she didn’t include a nod to boyfriend Travis Kelce in her acceptance speeches.
Upon taking the stage twice inside the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, Swift – who scored six nominations, and won Album of the Year for 2022’s “Midnights” and Best Pop Vocal — did not mention the Chiefs tight end, who is preparing to face the 49ers in Super Bowl 2024 next Sunday in Las Vegas.
Her Album of the Year win was a historic one as she became the first artist to take home the honor four times.
“It makes me unbelievably blown away that it makes some people happy who voted for this award, too,” Swift said during her acceptance speech. “All I want to do is keep doing this.”
Swift also announced her new album “The Tourtured Poets Department will be out on April 19.
“I would love to tell you that this is the best moment in my life,” Swift said after winning the night’s final award. “But I feel this happy when I finished a song or when I cracked the code to a bridge that I love or when I’m shortlisting a music video or when I’m rehearsing with my dancers or my band or getting ready to go to Tokyo to play a show. For me, the award is the work.”
Swift, 34, supported Kelce, also 34, last weekend in Baltimore, where the Chiefs defeated the Ravens, 17-10, in the AFC Championship game.
Kelce landed along with the Chiefs in Las Vegas on Sunday.
The couple shared a kiss on the field at M&T Bank Stadium after Kansas City clinched its second straight Super Bowl berth.
Kansas City defeated the Philadelphia Eagles, 38-35, in last year’s Super Bowl in Glendale, Arizona.
Page Six reported last week that Swift will make it to the Super Bowl despite a grueling travel schedule.
The pop megastar is resuming the international leg of her blockbuster Eras Tour this week, with four shows scheduled at the Tokyo Dome beginning Wednesday.
Her final show in Japan is on Saturday — one day before kickoff.
The Embassy of Japan in the U.S.A. confirmed Friday that Swift “should comfortably arrive in Las Vegas before the Super Bowl begins.”
“Despite the 12-hour flight and 17-hour time difference, the Embassy can confidently Speak Now to say that if she departs Tokyo in the evening after her concert, she should comfortably arrive in Las Vegas before the Super Bowl begins,” the statement read.
Swift has performances scheduled in Australia after the Super Bowl.
It’s been speculated Kelce could potentially join her on tour this offseason.
