Sydney Sweeney’s former acting coach is in her corner.
Scott Sedita came to the “Euphoria” star’s defense after producer Carol Baum recently went viral for hating on Sweeney’s skills.
“She’s been through the ups and downs of this business,” he told TMZ Thursday of the “relatable and approachable” star, whom he worked with at the beginning of her career.
“You have to be pretty much a serious actress if you’re gonna go through all that,” Sedita continued.
“When taking feedback or critique, she processes it, uses her acting technique and makes the adjustment.”
As for Baum’s comments about the 26-year-old’s looks, Sedita gushed that Sweeney “is beautiful because she has inner depth, intellect, compassion, style and facial features — eyes, smile, cheekbones — that the camera angles pick up on.”
The “White Lotus” alum’s fans also came to her defense after Baum claimed she “isn’t pretty” and “can’t act” during a panel discussion about her 1988 film “Dead Ringers.”
Social media users labeled Baum “jealous” and “bitter” after her viral “attack.”
She has since walked back her scathing statements, telling TMZ that “crapping on an actor” in public “isn’t her style.”
As for Sweeney’s response, her rep blasted Baum’s “shameful” rhetoric on Wednesday.
“How sad that a woman in the position to share her expertise and experience chooses instead to attack another woman,” the spokesperson told Page Six.

“If that’s what she’s learned in her decades in the industry and feels is appropriate to teach to her students, that’s shameful,” the statement concluded.
Sweeney moved to Los Angeles at age 14 to pursue acting, starting with guest roles on TV shows before bigger parts in “Everything Sucks!” and “Sharp Objects.”
She rose to fame — and received Emmy Award nominations — playing Cassie Howard in “Euphoria” and Olivia Mossbacher in “White Lotus.”
Since starring on the hit shows, she has also acted in “Immaculate,” “Anyone But You,” “Americana” and more movies.
