Russell Westbrook dares heckler to step to him in heated video

Things got spicy between Clippers star Russell Westbrook and a Timberwolves fan before Sunday’s game in Minneapolis.

The veteran point guard confronted the fan, who was wearing a Minnesota jersey and heckling him during warmups, and told him to “sit your ass down,” according to a video posted by TikTok user Ms. Jackson (@nagashiajackson).

Westbrook can be seen signaling for the fan to come over to him, where he was standing courtside under the basket with a basketball.

“Come here,” Westbrook said. “I can’t hear you. Come over here.”

That’s when Westbrook walked toward the fan.

“What you say?” he asked. “What?”

The fan was seen pretending to shoot and said, “basketball.”

A security guard then walked over and appeared to pull Westbrook away.

“Alright… better sit your ass down,” the 35-year-old former NBA MVP said.

“I ain’t the one. I’m not the one.”

Westbrook walked away and continued to look back in the direction of the fan.

The nine-time All-Star recorded 11 points, two rebounds and four assists in the Clippers’ 109-105 loss on Sunday.

This wasn’t the first time Westbrook confronted a fan who was heckling him during pregame warmups.

In a similar situation two years ago, also in Minneapolis, Westbrook — who was playing for the Lakers at the time — walked over to a fan who called him “Westbrick,” which was the infamous nickname some gave him during his offensive struggles during his Lakers tenure.

The Clippers (26-14) have a few days off before hosting the Brooklyn Nets (16-23) on Sunday at 3:30 p.m.
