The Rangers have another All-Star.
The NHL announced that center Vincent Trocheck has been added as a participant for the All-Star Game in Toronto on Feb. 3.
Trocheck and the Jets’ Kyle Connor are replacing the Golden Knights’ Jack Eichel and the Blackhawks’ Connor Bedard, both of whom are injured.
Trocheck joins goalie Igor Shesterkin as Rangers headed to the All-Star Game; Artemi Panarin, the team’s most deserving candidate, asked not to partake in the game because his wife is due to give birth to the couple’s second child.
This is the second time Trocheck has earned an All-Star nod and his first in seven years.
In 46 games this season, Trocheck has 15 goals and 29 assists; his .96 points per game is set to be a career high.
