Ozzy Osbourne Was ‘Stoned On Every Episode’ Of Reality Show ‘The Osbournes,’ Sharon Says

Sharon Osbourne said her husband, Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne, was high on drugs for the entirety of their popular reality show, “The Osbournes.”

“He was stoned on every episode,” Sharon told a “Celebrity Big Brother” contestant who mentioned watching the series, per Entertainment Weekly. “He was never sober,” the 71-year-old celebrity continued. “He’s never seen [the show], doesn’t want to see it, and he never watched one episode.”

The Osbournes” aired on MTV between 2002 and 2005. It followed Ozzy and the rest of his family members, including Sharon and his children Jack and Kelly, as they went about their lives. A third Osbourne offspring, Aimee, refused to participate in the reality show and was openly critical of the whole idea.

Ozzy and Sharon now host a podcast called “The Osbournes Podcast” where they’ve discussed the reality show and how it impacted them.

During a conversation on the podcast in November, Kelly said being on the show had a “massive negative effect” on her.

“Imagine having to relive every conversation you’ve ever had throughout a 24-hour period or six month period, and then all of a sudden people are judging everything you’ve said,” Kelly said. “You’re just like, ‘Wait I just thought I was having a normal conversation, now this person hates me.’ It’s crazy. It just made me so insecure.”

Ozzy agreed, saying, “It’s so intrusive in your house. At the time, I said I wanted a safe room where I could go and pick my nose and squeeze a zit if I want to without being on camera, and they had a f***ing camera in there. When you’ve got hidden cameras, you start to freak out.”

He added that “never in a million years” would he do a reality show like that again.

Ozzy has been struggling with his health after being diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2003. He’s also expressed his intention to go back on tour.

“I’m getting pissed off reading the papers, and they’re saying things like ‘Ozzy is fighting his last battle.’ He’s sung his last ‘Paranoid.’ You know, I don’t even think about Parkinson’s that much,” Osbourne said in November, as The Daily Wire previously reported.

“I said to [my wife] Sharon that I’d smoked a joint recently and she said, ‘What are you doing that for! It’ll f***-ing kill you!’” he continued. “I said, ‘How long do you want me to f***ing live for?!’ At best, I’ve got 10 years left and when you’re older, time picks up speed.”
